SOCIAL DISTANCING DOESN’T MEAN STOPPING CREATING

Due to the very serious situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, in Italy, from March to June, a national lockdown period was declared and imposed, which forced all Italian citizens to social distancing remaining indoors.
It is during this quarantine period that I conceived and implemented this personal project. After a few months without taking pictures, I felt the need to shoot again and I asked my sister to pose for some portraits. With my mother’s help and a little creativity, I created a game of light and shadow on my sister’s face, using any household object that could produce a texture.
Here are the results!

BEHIND THE SCENE

Here are some BTS shots of the shooting, that, as you can notice, took place on my balcony just using the day light and some household props.
Objects used to create textures: colander, lace curtain, oven grills, net of oranges, jar of a candle.
Sorry for the mess!
